Join the Chicago Tribune

(18 February 2010) The Chicago Tribune recently acknowledged that Illinois State University registered student organization, urban needs in Teacher Education (), for his commitment to encourage the involvement of students in education teacher to work in Chicago Public Schools.

Recently, join hosted project, a marathon of 43 43 hours focused on improving and re-invent the curriculum in the classroom in an effort to make their education more relevant to students. About 40 teacher school students attended the event, where they learned strategies that will help their students tools to an enthusiasm for learning and a desire to one day attend college.

"This work talks about the collaborative nature of our ongoing partnership with Chicago Public Schools, a small village/Enlace, Golden Apple and LISC/Chicago. It also highlights the involvement of a cross-campus at Illinois State, "said Robert Lee, Director of the Chicago teacher Pipeline ™, the program that oversees the preparation of teachers students for work in Chicago Public Schools.

UNITED was founded in 2006 by students ISU and is about to become a non-profit organization. Their main goal is to increase the recruitment of teachers for CPS high schools needs and to promote conservation in these schools.
