(June 18, 2010) Congratulations to Darrell Kruger, Associate Dean of the College of education, to receive the 2010 Journal of geography Best College/University article Award. The article, "Writing a successful Fulbright group projects abroad Grant: voices from a trip to South Africa," was chosen by the 2009 volume of issues of the journal of geography.
Kruger's work was chosen for its encouragement, support and promotion of research in geographical education. His article, written in collaboration with the Faculty of four other universities, was chosen because it develops and promotes the use of curriculum, resources and materials in geographic education.
Kruger will receive the award and present the article in the September 2010 Conference of the National Council for geographic education in Savannah, GA.
