ISU Student Education Association wins national award for three consecutive years

(August 2009) Several members of the Illinois State University Student education attended the National Conference of Education Student Association this summer in San Diego, California, where they participated in training, workshops and regional caucus meetings. During the Conference, the National Education Association presented the ISU chapter with exceptional local excellence with more than 200 Member Award for the third consecutive year.

The ISU Student Education Association has over 250 members, the 20 percent of active members in the Executive Committee, Advisory Committee and subcommittees. Seventy percent of members are active during the first half and 43 percent are active during the second half.

Illinois State competing for the prize against two other universities in the category of outstanding local excellence with more than 200 members, including Peru State College (Nebraska) and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

All education majors are invited to attend the next meeting to Student Education Association: 0 on Monday, 19 August 24, 2009, on the Patio DeGarmo Hall. Come for free food and information about the largest education-related organization of students on campus.
